We are officially LIVE.... but in semi-closed alpha!

Fans and readers,

What a big night it has been at LM. In fact, it is not over yet. Our team is literally working around the clock to get the site out to a select group of alpha users who will likely share with others. For the last several weeks we were closed to only people whom we invited to test the site. This step tonight means that we are in a "semi-closed alpha". What that actually means, I never understood until this past year, but basically, it means that our site is still undergoing development and yet we want early users to begin to play with the site and to interact.

Once the alpha stage is over, we will transition into our beta stage and go LIVE to the web.

One step closer to a Local Motors car design world.

As an added enhancement during the day, you may also note that we have added Digg and Del.icio.us tags to all of our posts. This way you can easily tell the world which posts you like and want to share about LM. We hope you will Digg and Del. whenever you are inspired about our great, "little", car company. Use the links embedded here to get a profile on both of these services (if you don't have it), and start sharing the types of stories that you love. We - no surprise - are coco for cars :)
